Here's an overview of a bunch of Gemini 2.0 announcements we made today! In particular, we have a public preview of a new Gemini 2.0 Flash-Lite model, the Gemini 2.0 Flash model is now GA (Generally Available), and we have an experimental Gemini 2.0 Pro model.

Compared to the 1.5 series models, each of the 2.0 models is generally better than the "one size up" model in the 1.5 series (e.g. 2.0 Flash-Lite is generally better than the 1.5 Flash, 2.0 Flash is way faster and higher quality than the 1.5 Pro, and the 2.0 Pro model is our top model at the moment).

We also have the Gemini 2.0 Flash Thinking experimental model available in the model drop-down in AI Studio and the Gemini App.

One tidbit about the 2.0 Flash-Lite model from the blog post:

"Like 2.0 Flash, it has a 1 million token context window and multimodal input. For example, it can generate a relevant one-line caption for around 40,000 unique photos, costing less than a dollar in Google AI Studio’s paid tier."
